REMNANTS OF SEVEN CENTURIES OF ANCIENT HISTORY
The galleries, spread over 3000ft2 (1000m2) on 3 floors, takes visitors on a veritable archaeological journey though time, exploring different themes and collections : ceramics, perfectly preserved glass urns, everyday objects, tools, dishes, jewelry, oil lamps, coins, antique sculpture, funerary stelae, objects from the necropolis of Saint-Michel (III c. and IV c.) where 76 tombs were discovered….
From the Neolithic Era and the development of the hunter-gatherer society (middle of the V c. – middle of IV c. BC) up to recent Antiquity (V c. – VII c.) and the Middle Ages, the Archaeological Museum of Lattes will take you through time on the quest to learn about the men and women who lived before us in this area.
